Flower delivery in Hájek from a local florist

The municipality of Hájek comprises the parts of Hájek and Nová Víska. It lies between Karlovy Vary and Ostrov. The first written mention of the municipality dates to 1409.

The site of a circular fortress that disappeared in the 16th century survives behind the municipal office building. The cultural hall was built in 1950, and the municipality has held summer cinema screenings since 2006. In 2013, Hájek received the Golden Ribbon for winning the regional round of the Village of the Year competition.
